The draw will take place at 9 or maybe earlier if everyone has booked in. Following the draw you are free to move to your pegs and set up your gear. One of our local experts will come round and point out some features in your peg. At 11 o clock the first horn will sound and at this point you will be allowed to start using your marker rods and baiting up. At 12 noon you will hear the second horn which signifies the start of the match. During the next few hours one of the team will be around to ensure everything is ok and to steal a brew or better still a beer On Saturday 12th you will hear another horn (depending on the weather it will either be at 12 or 4 but you will be told at some point during the day) at this stage there will be a compulsory 2 hour break were all anglers must reel in. This is where the legendary fun begins. You will be fed by the one and only Piggy Dave and join us for a beer while we all get together and enjoy some of the exciting entertainment we have lined up for you. There will be plenty to see and do with lots of the industries finest displaying their wares and top consultants on hand for friendly advice that may just send you into the last night of competition with a new edge. After the 2 hour social another horn will sound allowing you to re cast your rods, though as proved time and time again there is always a large contingent who would rather continue with the social. On Sunday 13th at 11am the fifth and final horn will sound to close the match. Please get your gear packed up and come to event HQ for the presentation and photos by 12 noon Rules for the weekend · 2 RODS · NO BAIT BOATS · LOCAL LAKE RULES MUST BE ADHERED TOO AT ALL TIMES · ALL CARP TO BE WEIGHED BY A MARSHAL, PHOTOGRAPHED, AND RETURNED ASAP. · THE DECISION OF THE MARSHAL IS FINAL · THE MOST IMPORTANT RULE OF ALL, FUN IS COMPULSORY! You will be sent an email with your sponsor form, to be able to enter on the day you must have raised a minimum of £75. You may also use the Just giving page we have set up for your friends and family to sponsor you for this event, Please ensure that they put your name in the comments box so it will count towards your minimum sponsorship. To speed things up at booking in please ensure you have totaled your sponsor form and collected all the monies. The quicker we get through this bit the quicker the fun begins. Frisby lakes is a 100 acre site consisting of two mature gravel pits, (36 acres & 16 acres) and a stretch of the river wreake. Frisby lakes operate on an open day ticket basis with limited season permits including night fishing. The waters hold specimen Carp, Zander, Pike, Tench, Bream, Roach, Perch and Chub. The site has two full time bailiffs who are more than happy to advise on bait and tactics regardless of your intended targets and experience with the added benefit of a fully stocked tackle department with everything you could possibly need. Our on site tackleshop stocks an extensive range of course, predator, and carp fishing equipment. The shop also has a small stock of cold drinks and snacks. When you enter the fishery the tackle shop is the first stop of call, here you can get your ticket to fish and all the info you need about the lakes and fishing. We have most of the main brands including solar, atomic, maver, mainline, greys and dynamite, to name a few.
