From 2005 up to now, Phu Yen has been supported more than 87.8 billion dongs from the central government to invest in constructing 118 works in 16 particularly difficult communes along the coastal regions. The constructing works are essential infrastructure to fundamentally meet the demands of transporting, livelihood, developing production and directly impacting lots of sectors of life among the poor, to help poor households develop economy. To ensure the target of sustainable development, the Government needs to increase the support level for the particularly difficult communes along the coastal regions. Rural traffic road in An Phu commune (Tuy Hoa city) has been concreted LOTS OF WORKS DEVELOPING HIGH EFFICIENCYSo far, Phu Yen has had 16 particularly difficult communes along the coastal regions supported by the state with essential infrastructure to gain favorable conditions for production, gradually improving and stabilizing life, contributing to poverty reduction and hunger eradication for the local people. Xuan Thinh (Song Cau town) is 1 of the 3 first communes in Phu Yen being recognized as a particularly difficult commune since the year 2004. According to the people’s committee of Xuan Thinh commune, from the source of investment support, so far, Xuan Thinh has invested 15 works, mainly rural traffic roads with the total amount of over 9.7 billion dongs. Tuy An district has 8 communes in particularly difficult situation. Mr. Nguyen Van Hong, chairman of An Chan commune’s people’s committee (Tuy An district), let known, “An Chan has been recognized as a particularly difficult commune along the coastal region since 2013. So far, the commune has had 3 works of essential infrastructure, with one work being completed and put into use, which is the central commune market, supported 800 million dongs by the Central government. According to Tuy An district’s people’s committee, from 2005 to now, the entire district has had 62 works invested for construction in 8 particularly difficult communes along the coastal regions, with the total amount of over 45 billion dongs. THE NEED TO INCREASE INVESTMENT PRODUCTIVITY According to the PPC, since 2005, Phu Yen has received the central government’s support of over 87.8 billion dongs to invest in constructing 118 works. Through the investment support of the Program of national target for reducing poverty in a sustainable way, the particularly difficult communes in coastal regions have been supported to build some essential works to serve the livelihood and socio-econ development…, which has carved direct impact on many aspects of the lives of the poor, helping poor households develop economy and head towards the sustainable hunger eradication and poverty reduction. PPC Vice Chairman, Mr. Nguyen Ngoc An, let known: the PPC has issued official correspondence to propose the central sectors and ministries to allocate enough capital under the Decision numbered 551 by the Prime Minister, simultaneously doing research to submit to the Government for introducing plans for allocating capital in the form of midterm from 3 to 5 years for the localities to be active in implementation. The PPC has also proposed the Government to increase the support level for poor provinces that still receive subsidies from the Central budget to support the investment in essential infrastructure for particularly difficult communes and support with product consumption for fishermen to ensure the target of sustainable poverty reduction. Simultaneously, the Government need consider the program of supporting for production in particularly difficult communes along the coastal regions and support with product consumption to help fishermen for stability in production and sustainable poverty overcoming”.
