Harmon, Unit XO To: Cross Roads Young Marines and Parents Subject: Community Service Event 2014 Big Spring Super Sprint & Kids Triathlon 2014 Christmas for the Troops For those who are in town, well be meeting at the Russ McEwen Aquatic Center inside the Comanche Trail Park this Friday, July 11, 2014, at 1700 Hours (5:00 PM) to receive instructions and assignments for this Saturdays community service event. Uniform of the Day (U of D) will be black shorts, go-fasters, red YM t-shirt and covers. Mrs. Rodman, Unit Adjutant, will have release forms that MUST be signed by all parents for their YM to volunteer for this event. On Saturday, July 12, 2014, well be meeting at the same place at 0630 Hours (6:30 AM) before the pre-race meeting scheduled for 0700 Hours (7:00 AM). U of D for this Saturday is inspection ready utes, boots, YM red t-shirt underneath and cover. Well be in the public, so be sure your uniform is clean, pressed, pendent-free and boots spit shined. Also, remember if youre on time ~ YOURE LATE. Saturdays community event is sure to be great exposure and recruiting promotion for the Cross Roads Young Marines. Look sharp, stand tall, be proud, be on your best behavior and represent our program well. The triathlon should be over by 10:30 AM, which will allow ample time for the parents to eat lunch with their YMs and reassemble at 1st Christian Church, 911 Goliad St, from 1300 - 1700 Hours (1:00 PM - 5:00 PM) to work on candy sleighs for this years Christmas for the Troops boxes.
