From MJM co-founder Dan Knobler: My future-father-in-law, Rodney Crowell (Official) has a new record out today and I am incredibly honored to have co-produced it with him and played guitar on a tune (Famous Last Words of a Fool In Love.) A few years back, when I was still in school, he invited me down to Nashville to be a fly-on-the-wall during the tracking sessions. Those tunes then sat on the shelf while he made and released two more records - one with Mary Karr and one with Emmylou Harris. This August we sat around his house in Nashville, talked, listened, tweaked, then recorded a handful of new tunes and finished the record together. There are some fantastic songs and incredible musicians on these recordings and I couldnt be prouder to have been a part of it.
