From my friend Kevin Joel Kelly: Kevin in conversation Beyond the sacred and the secular The hustle and bustle of the world are not less sacred than solitude. The corporate office, the shopping center, the concert hall, the sports arena each holds an echo of the Divine as does the woods, the mountains, the desert and the ocean. There is a place I have come to know that is beyond the great divide of the sacred and the secular. In this place there is only the sacred. When I first encountered this place I thought it was a unique little niche that I could return to time and time again and then I discovered it holds and encompasses all. Human ingenuity has created a gulf and labeled one side sacred and the other secular. But it’s artificial. A rose does not grow from the greens of a dandelion nor does a violet grow on a rosebush. Like begets like so how could anything in life be other than sacred, other than an expression of the Divine.
