From my friend Mike Jeffries status update: In March of this year the ATL passed a vote of no confidence in Michael Gove; followed by NUT and the NASUWT in April. In May of this year even the notoriously moderate National Association of Head Teachers passed a vote of no confidence in Mr Gove and his policies. This is more than just professionals with an axe to grind, or a reactionary resistance to reform; this is the first time in British history that all four unions of teaching professionals have passed a votes of no confidence on an incumbent secretary of state for education. Over 200 leading academics wrote a letter to the Times newspaper this month reiterating the dangers of Michael Goves new curriculum. If, like the teaching unions and I, you have no confidence in Michael Gove then show your support for our teachers. The only way he will get the sack is if his negative ratings are high enough that even blind Cameron has to sit up and take notice.
