From the 21 Lessons of Merlyn Chapter 7: Upon This Hallowed Ground You see before us, the sacred Beltane (fire of God) fires (Spirits), which, each year, surround the vale (Veil separating Otherworld from Truth) of Avalon (Otherworld/Ignorance) from dusk (Setting of Truth) to dawn (Rising of Truth), the Druid explained. The fire (Spirit) itself is brought from our own Holy Isle of Anglesey (Heavenly Kingdom/Truth) by the Arch Druid, and a special congregation of Brethren from all parts of the Kingdom. And what a sight it is...The flaming (Truthful) brand in procession down the ancient Oak (Dominating Father, The Emperor) walk, to the shores of the lake (Lake of Knowledge), from whence it is conveyed by barge into the hands of the Lady herself! And then it is done. The spark of life has once again been delivered unto the feet of the Earth Mother.
