From the Inbox: Alright ladies I need some advice! My fiancé left for Guantanamo bay in march where he will be until Sept 2015. He is coming home in August for 10 days and we were thinking about doing a courthouse wedding. It would definitely make things easier. My family however is NOT supportive at all. They say we are rushing it and barely know each other (weve been together 2 years, hes been in the navy for 1 year, i am 24 and he is about to turn 25). They are very traditional and say its just so strange that he is coming home and we are getting married and then he is going right back to Cuba where we will be apart from each other again. I am a full time RN and dont need his money.They also seem to think that our marriage will not work out and already have divorce in the back of their minds before weve even gotten married. He is the love of my life and I thought they knew that which is why I am caught off guard by this. They are my parents and I value their opinion and want to make them happy but also want to do what is best for us.Can anyone offer support, advice, opinions?
