From the Montrose Police Department: The two males ages 14 & 15 alleged they were beat up and knocked unconscious at Buckley Park on the 2nd of August admitted to making a false report to the Police. The alleged incident occurred on the 2nd of August but was not reported until the 3rd of August. Both victims said between 6 to 8 teenage males wanted their Denver Bronco hat and they allegedly knocked them out and took the hat and drove off in a silver Nissan car. Both boys were interviewed on this date and confessed to making up the story because they left the Bronco hat at Buckley Park accidentally and did not want to tell their parents, so they made up the story. The two males will be filed on with the District Attorneys Office this week for FALSE REPORTING to Authorities. Making FALSE REPORTS to the POLICE does not PAY!
