From the WTVY 4Warn Weather Team The warm-up started today..the last day of winter no less..with temps rising into the 70s today with lots of sunshine. The highs were right near our daily average too. We continue this nice weather tonight, with just a few clouds and lows tomorrow morning falling to near 50°. The vernal equinox, that marks the first day of Spring happens just before noon tomorrow. And it will definitely feel like Spring with highs rising to the low/middle 70s in the afternoon with more bright sunshine. A week cool front will move in Thursday afternoon, and drop low temperatures heading into Friday. Lows in the morning to end the week will drop to the mid 40s, a few degrees below average. However, with dry air in place well warm right back up into the mid 70s by Friday afternoon. The start of the weekend ahead is looking great. Well see a mostly sunny sky and highs in the upper 70s, with some places hitting 80°. However, Sunday will look at bit different, with more clouds and scattered showers in the afternoon and evening as a low pressure area moves in. It wont be a complete washout, and not everyone will see the rain, just have the umbrella handy for the second half of the weekend. We start next week on a cooler note with highs only in the mid 60s Monday, with those cooler numbers lasting into midweek.
