From the moment I saw her, shes all I can think about. Cant wait to get back to the shelter and give her some love and share her story with a video Im putting together. Meet, Spirit, we saved her from Animal Services yesterday. We dont know what happened to her but based off our experience and our vets, by the looks of her injuries we are pretty sure that she was abused by someone, or used as a bait dog. Some monster cut her right ear off and burned her with something. She has several small cuts through her body and despite what she went through, she has a soft spirit and is just the sweetest pup. She is about 2 years old and a pittie mix. Today we are going to really clean her up and start her path to recovery. Our animal trainer pointed her out to us after a kennel staff at AS asked her to give her a chance. Im so glad they both pointed her out to me. All I could do was hug her and talk to her. I was so outraged that someone did this to her. As long as there are people out there capable of doing this to animals, I will be here to speak against them and take action. If you see someone abusing an animal please report it! Call 911 if theyre in action, or call and report it to 311. Dont let this happen to innocent animals! Spirit may be going into a foster home today if not we will be looking for a foster home or adoptee. Shes been through enough and we dont want her to be stressed at the shelter with all the commotion.
