GA also passed a change to the language in the constitution to describe marriage as between two people, traditionally a man and a woman. This recommendation will now go to the presbyteries for vote. It should be noted that the language about tradition was added on the floor of GA as a gracious gesture to those who disagree with this change. There is much movement toward mutual forbearance at this GA.
