GENERATIONAL ENDORSEMENTS,APPROVAL,& UNCONDITIONAL ACCEPTANCE : Rt.HON GOODLUCK NANAH OPIAH.... In the life of every People, especially in special circumstances, Jehovah raises a Helper,Leader,& Pathfinder....These records abound in the Bible, & Human History....And thus,in 2003,a relatively known Politician,known, & called, & Addressed as Goodluck Opiah emerged in the Political scene of the Oil Producing Areas of Imo State, Nigeria.....This emergence recorded several drastic,harsh, but positive changes in the Political arithmetic of the People..... And so,Goodluck Opiah emerged successful in the PDP Primaries in 2003 with a clear, undisputed victory against an incumbent, Goddy Esom Obodo ,himself a legislative wonder,achiever,& Leader cum politician....The victory was to be repeated in the main election leading to Opiah been inaugurated with others in the Kelechi Nwagwu led Imo State House of Assembly -2003-2007.... And yet again, against all odds,Opiah reemerged in 2007 as the Representative of his People, crowning it with a successful Enthronement as the Honourable Speaker, Imo State House of Assembly -2007-2011.....Its a political feat thought impossible, unrealizable,given the political disadvantages of the Oil Producing Areas of Imo State....This in appreciation to HE Dr Ikedi Ohakim as the Executive Governor, HE Chief Achike Udenwa as d outgoing Governor, Prof Maurice Iwu(then INEC Chairman) ,Chief (now Senator) Hope Uzodinma, plus countless other critical Stakeholders, including his Honourable Colleagues in Dike Emma etcetera..... THE MAGIC OF OPIAHS UNDYING ACCEPTANCE, POPULARITY,& FOLLOWERSHIP : Its an axiom that one good turn deserves another...This explains the foundation of Opiahs meteoric rise in politics...This great Son,& Servant Leader saw the grace of his first election as an opportunity to work selflessly for the People in openness, humility, service delivery,& other positive activities...These rare qualities sparked off the undying interests in Opiah, which positive attributes are sustained in Opiah till date... 1st,Opiah identified his People as very backward,marginalised,hated,& deprived, even in d face of their obvious blessings in crude oil production, & arable land....And so,Opiah in collaborations with the informed Strategic, critical Stakeholders, began the recreation of a new,enduring mindset of resistance to deprivations, denials, & hatred....These activities, plus many more,led to the successful realization of the historic Imo State Oil Producing Areas Development Commission (Isopadec) through a BILL,which survived into Law....Though this Law,plus other issues associated therewith,are been challenged in Court today vide my activities, Opiah successfully created an everlasting image for the Oil Producing Areas vide this Commission....The Oil Producing Areas are eternally grateful, & indebted to the Honourable Members of the Imo State House of Assembly led by the Rt Hon (Barr) Kennedy Kelechi Nwagwu from 2003-2007.... 2nd,the Isopadec got into massive Infrastructural developments under HRM Eze SNA Uzor (Nzeobi Egbema) ,of blessed memory, ably funded, supervised by Ohakim, & Opiah....Its on records that these periods are described as the GOLDEN ERA IN THE OIL PRODUCING AREAS....Every accomplishments of the Isopadec unto the end of times,will count for Goodluck Opiah unto eternity....This has created a reign, existence of political, social, & economic immortality for the Rt Hon Goodluck Nanah Opiah, including his Generations.... 3rd, Goodluck Opiah through the instrumentality of legislative excellence, converted the only existing Higher Institution,MICHA OKPARA COLLEGE OF AGRICULTURE (MOCA-MONOTECHNIC) Into a full-fledged POLYTECHNICS, IMO STATE POLYTECHNICS, UMUAGWO OHAJIEGBEMA, With full,maximum accreditations for all its Courses,& Programs....This Higher Institution never had an Upstair,but Goodluck Opiah, in synergy with Ohakim re-branded the School with Several Upstairs, perimeter fencing, & constructions of its inner /outer roads....The advantages of this Higher Institution, plus its economic value cannot be underestimated.... 4th, Opiah in synergy with Ohakim attracted the Multi-billion International Skills Acquisition Institute, @ the former TTC Egbema, which Project is over eighty percent (80%) completion, housing twenty five (25) different storey buildings....This a wonderful environment to behold @ the verge of the Imo /Rivers States Boundary through Abacheke /Abaezi- Okwuzi axis.... 5th,Opiah facilitated the Federal Government Housing Estate, @ Umuagwo Ohaji, which project is over ninety-five (95%) completion.... 6th,Opiah facilitated the Kalabari Beach Federal Government Substation Power Project, @ the Oguta LGA.... 7th,Opiah facilitated the ongoing Egbema Power Plant Project, @ Mmahu Egbema, even as non-ranking,fresh Legislator in his first...This Project is ongoing, almost over sixty-five (65%) completion.... 8th, The Isopadec under the direct supervision of Opiah as the Speaker, created numerous quality roads in the Oil Producing Communities notably the obosima-Ohoba road with durable drainage system, the Assa Secondary School -Ochia-Awarra-Ikwerede Road,several roads in Oguta Amaeshi, Izombe Communities, Egbema Communities etc.... 9th, its under the Opiah /Ohakim era that the Isopadec had its money /allocations as @ when due....And this accounted for the several Skills Acquisition Programs for Women, Youth,as well Scholarships for Undergraduates,& Postgraduates Programs for the indigenes of the Oil Producing Areas...Its never experienced, never enjoyed before in Imo State until the emergence of Goodluck Opiah.... 10th, the people of the Oil Producing Communities became automatic Contractors, suppliers,& Consultants for the Isopadec in less stringent measures with corresponding obligations,engagements....Everywhere sparkled under d Opiah /Ohakim Isopadec, especially as money flowed.... 11th, there was reasonable activities backed by budgetary allocations, approvals for the transformation, upgrade of the former Oguta Lake Motel into Oguta WonderLake,& Conference Centre.... 12th, the high insecurity in the Niger Delta then,plus Security warning to United States National, stalled the concluded preliminary activities on the take of the Royal Oak Refinery/Petrochemical, Abacheke Egbema.... 13th, yet again, Opiahs Speakership opened a political Eldorado in choice political appointments for d people of the Oil Producing Areas...Theres no none political players,Leaders who never got appointment directly, or indirectly....Needless to mention all the names,but these include Hon Goddy Obodo, Barr Golden Nwosu, Hon JCN Harcourt, Emeka Benjamin, Gideon Meffor ,etcetra.... Also,several of our young persons secured opportunities either Aides,direct employments, other considerations, & recommendations.... 14th, the Divine Mandate Foundation floated by Opiah sponsored outside Govt, certain indigent women, widows,orphans through loans,scholarships etcetra..... NOW THE FUTURE BECKONS : Its impossible to be associated with these unchallenged, positive activities without been unconditionally followed, respected, even adored... And this why against his will,desire,Opiah got drafted into the aspirations for the House of Representatives, wherein he defeated the incumbent, Hon Gerald Alphonsus Irona....The margin of the defeat was a clear, unambiguous message that RT HON GOODLUCK NANAH OPIAH REMAINS THE DESTINY-CARRIER, & THE VISION-BEARER OF THE OIL PRODUCING AREAS.... OPIAH IS THE CLEAR CHOICE ; THE PEOPLE HAVE SPOKEN....VOX POPULI, VOX DEI.... THANKS,PDP.... GOODLUCK NIGERIA.
