GEORGE ? well let me just tell you George is living the good life! Around June 11th George was about 24 hours old, and he came to live with me. George spends his days swimming in a pool, wondering through the garden and in the evenings he is cuddled. He will be able to fly at 60 days old. I have never met such an amazing loving creature.I had no idea that ducks love to be petted and cuddled. But maybe its just George. he lets others hold him but prefers to jump up on my chest tuck his head under my chin and nibble on my neck. he feels safe there and makes little noises of contentment. His colors are changing and the shape of his head, but remains very soft. George may wish to fly off one day and be free among the other wood ducks. He will not be held against his will. But the day George leaves I am sure my heart will bleed for his company. My husband reminds me daily he is just a duck. but until you nurture an animal daily around the clock you can not know what grows in the heart!
