GET HEALTHY , WEIGHT LOSS WILL FOLLOW I have spent the weekend listening to a motivational speak Dr Libby Weaver who is absolutely amazing. She specializes in bio chemistry and nutrition, which for some is totally beyond them. But since beginning this journey of helping people on their weight loss journey, i have met a lot of different types of people and discovered their challenges in life. During classes i do what i know best to help all of my clients to improve their fitness and get on track motivationally. What i want to now do via facebook is to slowly help to educate people and myself about what food choices are best to get them to a healthy position. Remembering we only get given one body, and one life, which we all knows just goes far too quickly. So science is doing its best to come up with ways to prolong our lives - what WE need to do is to ensure we sustain a healthy and efficient body that can live those extra years without being bed ridden or with unnecessary and preventable disabilities. So as i titled this blog, we need to first become healthy and then weight loss will follow. So we need to start looking at food as fuel and stop looking at as something to shove in our mouths. My first goal i want you all to start with is to put more GREEN in your diets. More green leafy vegetables, and/or a supplement such as spirulina. Every 21 days we develop new taste buds, so if we can slowly but surely change some of our habits, eventually we will without knowing it have ceased some of our bad habits that we do today. So for lunch, add in some spinich leaves to your sandwhich, salad or omlette. Make some savoury items, such as muffins and quiches, add in GREEN!!!! When making casseroles, roasts, potato bakes, bread, scones what ever, add in a handful of chopped spinach, silverbeet, kale, cabbage, parsley, etc. All of these contain massive health benefits that will be stepping stones toward your healthy body!!! So the goal for this week is GREEN!!!!!!.....feel free to share your recipes, pics of your latest creations, we can all help motivate each other!!
