GODS STEWARDSHIP PROGRAM How To Make the Most of Your Money Luke 6:38 Give, and it will be given to you; good measure, pressed down, shaken together, running over, they will pour into your lap. For whatever measure you deal out to others, it will be dealt to you in return. I want to let it be clearly understood that I dont preach on stewardship every Sunday. But I do believe that stewardship is as much a part of Gods Word as prayer, salvation, discipleship, faith, love and all these things that we preach. Therefore, without apology, I simply want to state that Im bringing a very important part of Gods Word to Gods people. If you are not a Christian, this may not mean much to you, and I understand that. It may seem beyond anything in your experience. But I would also challenge you that if youre not yet saved but the Holy Spirit is dealing with you, to please understand what it means to follow Jesus Christ. To follow Jesus, means that He is Lord of all. He always made it clear that any man who followed Him must count the cost. Counting the cost means that you are letting Jesus Christ be Lord of all. I like for everyone to understand that when you accept Jesus as Savior and Lord, we explain, the best we know how, some of the terms of discipleship. I will of course also be speaking to Christians in this message. Some of you have not let Jesus be Lord of all, and I want to challenge your mind and heart with what God has to say about some principles that will bless your heart. In fact, Im going to say that if you will take to heart what God has to say in His Word to you spiritually, next to your salvation, this may be one of the most important messages of your life. I say that without apology, and with all my heart, because I believe that a persons stewardship is basic to anything else God does through his life. I have yet to find the person whom the Lord has His hand on--layman, woman, minister, professional or anyone else, that is right with God Page 2 ifn every area of life if stewardship is not right. God cannot bless Lis and use us if our stewardship is not right. Id like to challenge you right now to look at Gods Stewardship Program, and then let the Holy Spirit guide and lead you to do whats right. Some of these principles were taken from my pastor Oladele Joseph and teacher, In one of the Simon in the church some time ago and God used him to bless us and speak to us. From that, many people took a new hold on their spiritual walk and stewardship. A layman challenged me some time ago to let the Lord put these principles to work in my own life and I thank God for that kind of layman, and Id like to pass on some of those things to you.
