GOOD MORNING BAVARIA! Staying close to home this weekend? Head to the Maisels Weissbier-Fest in 95445 Bayreuth, at the Maisel brewery, Hindenburgstraße 9. Traditionally, the Weissbier-Fest is a great mixture of top music, scrumptious delicacies, and various activities - and all for free! Today starts the Street Market: Marktschreier (Market Crier) in 92224 Amberg, on Dultplatz, Bruno-Hofer-Straße. The famous market criers from Hamburg are visiting for three days, trying to sell their goods by shouting louder than their neighbouring vendors. They sell fish, fresh noodles, cheese, German Wurst, cakes, flowers, and bananas. The vendors guarantee the absolute freshness and good quality of their products. And naturally, the market also offers food for the hungry stomach like Fischsemmeln (rolls with marinated or smoked fish), French crêpes and much more. The market is open Friday and Saturday 9 a.m. - 8 p.m., and Sunday midday - 8 p.m. Steinfels/Mantel residents. Your bulk trash will be picked up by the county of Neustadt on 26 May. Bulk trash must be curbside, in front of your home no later than 6 a.m. on the scheduled pick-up day. Pick-up is provided by contractors of the County Neustadt. Please note that pick-ups will occur in 3 stages based on types of items. Plan Ahead, Monday, 26 May is Memorial Day, a federal U.S. holiday. All DACs and LNs will be off, and all non-mission-essential offices on-post will be closed. Please check locally for changed operating hours at your dining facilities, shopping facilities, gas stations, and access gates to the garrisons.
