GOOD NEWS AND CONGRATULATIONS TO ALL For past several months WHR together with Nepal Army Single Women and Injured Family (ASIF) had been conducting several workshops and meetings with high level officials to raise some discriminatory policies related to conflict affected families. On June 27th WHR along with ASIF submitted advocacy letter to the chief of army and we were just informed from Army Headquarter that they have approved our following demands: - Seven Years of Salary on a lump sum, to conflict affected single women - Increment in scholarship for children - Arrangement of some stipend to wife or mother of disabled veteran soldiers - Three wheeler to 50% injured soldiers - 5% of reservation to Single Women of Army on recruitment We would like to express our gratitude towards Nepal Army for showing their support.
