GOV. SHETTIMA APPOINTS NEW CHIEF OF STAFF Gov Kashim Shettima has appointed a new Chief of Staff to replace Hon. Abubakar Kyari who has secured the All Progressive Congress (APC) ticket to contest the 2015 Borno North senatorial seat. A press release signed by the Secretary to Borno State Government (SSG), Amb Baba Ahmad Jidda today in Maiduguri said the governor approved the appointment of a new chief of staff, Hon Modu Alhaji Musa, a former member of the House of Representatives. The new Chief of Staff, according to the release, represented Kukawa, Abadam, Mobbar and Guzamala Federal Constituency, northern Borno (2003-2007). He is an accomplished politician, a refined gentleman and respected Community Leader, it said. Also approved by the governor are chairman, members and secretary of the state emergency management agency to respond to emergency management and mitigation in the state. The appointment takes immediate effect, the statement added.
