GZ trial: After a long day in the courtroom America we are almost at trials end. The defense has called all of their witnesses and GZ elected not to take the stand and testify on his own behalf at the advice of his attorney. While the momentum for the day seemed in favor of the prosecution, lower charges such as manslaughter and aggravated assault have been included for jury consideration, making the possible range of sentencing given any guilty verdict, 3-years-to-life without the possibility of parole due to the use of a gun. At this point the state will recall two witnesses for a rebuttal of their testimony, one of which was the gym owner and trainer that assessed GZ physical ability at a level of 1, but now advertises the training GZ received on his gym website. The other witness the state would like to call is an air marshal GZ had a physical altercation some years prior. After the additional witnesses are called and heard, the state will present approximately a 2 hour closing argument, followed by the defense making approximately a 3 hour closing, followed by final one hour rebuttal argument presented by the state. From there, the fate of GZ will reside in the hands of the jury who may be in deliberation as early as Friday, with much of America on pins and needles. What aspects of the case will stand out the most to the jury who will have all of the evidence presented available for reply while it deliberation? GZ says TM rained down punches on him, with disputed physical evidence supporting and refuting his account. For the defense, the lack of swelling on TM fists and presence of blood is a result of botched crime scene collection by the police. The state argues the missing evidence convicting TM is lacking because the events did not occur as GZ claims. Will it matter to jurors that GZ did not announce who he was to TM and move through a conceptual continuum of force by first using verbal commands to gain control of the situation before a physical altercation ensued leading to the use of deadly force? Will jurors believe TM was afraid because an unknown man was following him? Will jurors find it logical that TM did not run home when he thought he was being followed, likely to prevent the unknown pursuer from knowing where he lived? Will the jurors believe that GZ was defenseless? Was GZ a super neighbor or over-reaching individual? Stay tuned............ #IAmTrayvon #Zimmermantrial #Trayvon #Zimmerman #JusticeForTrayvon
