Gearing up for chairing the Southern Food Table at Georgias schools multicultural food festival. So, 2 things: 1) I have been asked to call it a North American/Southern food table because Southerners were offended by separating out the South from the rest of the states. REALLY??? Im sorry, I just dont believe that REAL southerners in NYC dont get that. Peeps from the south: do you see the South as culturally (and gastronomically) distinct. And moreover do think a North American food table is representative of Southern cooking and culture? 2) Decorating ideas? Ive ordered blue gingham tablecover and Mason jars. I also thought it would be neat to use NC team NCAA beverage napkins. Sadly, WF were more expensive and didnt fit the color scheme, they dont make napkins for NC State and Duke was out of stock. :D So I decided to stick with Carolina only, and also include the Panthers :) which matches the whole blue theme.
