Genes TOTD: I have written about giving on several occasions as it is that time of the year when it becomes more apparent than other times but of course many of us give through out the year to various causes as there are always needs to fill in our community .... However I wanted to share a special gift of food and toys our workgroup had the opportunity to help out in ... Shay and I have had the opportunity of hosting my work groups Christmas party at our barn for several years and our team has been asking for folks that could to bring non perishable food items and a toy for a child and usually what Shay and I would do is take those items received to St Thomass food pantry locally and the toys to local organizations in need ... Well this year seemed special for some reason and again all that attended brought food and toys ...Well just before the party one of my co-workers mentioned his wife worked for childrens protective services and they just had another case added with a family with several children that were too late to sign up locally for any gift giving organizations and they were in really bad shape without food or anything and CPS was really struggling to get donations in this late ... So God gives us opportunities and works in wonderful ways we dont even realize sometimes so I announced to the team at the party where the food and toys were going and to me that was the Best part of the entire night knowing that our team could help just a little in a special way ... Folks my feelings are it is never too late when someone is in need to help them if you can ... All children deserve to be hopeful and to have a little something to open at Christmas ... in the CPS cases the children are the real victims as its not. Their fault of why they are in these harsh environments ... Thank you Lord for bringing this opportunity to our group and blessing us with one of the best feelings of giving we have had in a long time ... So if you get the opportunity to share a little something with those in need I can tell you it will give them hope and you will receive ten fold the blessings you share ...
