Genesis Nugget: When Adam and Eve sinned and separated themselves - TopicsExpress

Genesis Nugget: When Adam and Eve sinned and separated themselves from God, God sent them from the garden, but He didnt send them away without hope, first He showed them grace and mercy by offering them a promise of redemption before He brings judgment. It seems strange but their promise of salvation was in the curse that Satan received. Listen to what Gen. 3:15 says, And I will put enmity between you and woman, and between your offspring and hers, He will crush your head and you will strike his heel. Sounds confusing but it really isnt. God is just saying that through a woman sin came and through a woman the Savior will come. Satan is going to try to stop Him and he will get in some good blows but in the end its Satan who will be crushed or stopped. First though Christ has to get here, He has to be born of a woman so God looked down and called Abraham to start a new nation, the Nation of Israel. Abraham had Isaac, Isaac has twin boys, Esau and Jacob. Jacob has twelve sons. You hear them referred to as The Twelve Tribes of Israel. That just means Jacobs twelve sons. The whole rest of the Bible up until the birth of Christ is about these people. We see them follow God and turn from God, goodness to wickedness and back again many times over before we finally get to the birth of our Savior. Just hang on because were going to get there, it really does all come together. What was it that guy on the A Team said, I love it when a plan comes together I have to agree, I do too. :)
