Georgia - HB28 Controlled substances; patients who are prescribed Schedule II or III for extended periods; require Opioid Education and Pro-Active Addiction Counseling Introduced December 29, 2014 Description This bill would require Opioid Education and Pro-Active Addiction Counseling for patients who are prescribed Schedule II or III controlled substances by physicians for chronic pain for 90 consecutive days or greater. The mandated counseling shall be provided by third parties for a fee of not more than $100 per session to the patient. Update by: POPF Advocacy Committee and SPPAN ~Twinkle V.
