If one MBE/WBE contractor or subcontractor is fired, another MBE/WBE contractor or subcontractor will replace them. Additionally, contractors and subcontractors are required to hire people with the same zip code; limited to employing people residing in the Vine City community. Copeland enlisted Dion Wagner to publicize this effort and help generate support. As a result, a 31% MBE/WBE allotment was included in the legislation governing the building and servicing of the stadium project. Munson Steed, Rolling Out publisher, recognized Copeland as the Top African-American Lobbyist in Georgia. Copelands client list includes: the Hospital Corporation of America, Atlanta Neighborhood Development Partnership, Spelman College, Johnson Controls, Hewlett-Packard, IBM, KPMG and Hitachi Data Systems.
