Getting back to normal after our trip of OKC to visit our new granddaughter, Perrin Gray. Paul and Mel were also able to be there. Perrin is now a month old and beautiful. Had a great visit and were well fed. David is a great cook. Had lots of grandma time with Perrin. Then Scott and I went over to the Wichita Mountain Wilderness Refuge. We drove through although David and Paul like to hike there. Saw buffalo, Texas longhorn, and prairie dogs and learned the story of the early 1900 rescue of the buffalo, elk and later the longhorn as they were on their way to extinction. Went to the top of Mt. Scott and then on to Meers for one of the famous Meersburgers made from TX longhorn (a private herd). Very lean and delicious. Then we turned towards home and enjoyed a ride through the OK landscape and saw the beautiful plains dotted with cattle and horse ranches. I think Scott and I have the road trip down pat!
