Glowworms - Glowworm is the common name for different groups of insect larvae which glow through bioluminescence. Glowworms may sometimes resemble actual worms, but most glowworms species are actually beetles like the ones shown here. The wingless larval form of fireflies is shown here. Their rear ends glow just like fireflies do. Warm, rainy nights like this evening, are good nights to look for glowworms among the grass. This one we caught and brought inside to get a close-up photo.
