Go Getter Mentality Ecclesiastes 11:4 - Farmers who wait for perfect weather never plant. If they watch every cloud, they never harvest. (NLT) When I first started preaching I was a freshman in college. I attended a great church in Chattanooga, TN at the time. At the end of every service all of the ministers would walk out first, stand in the vestibule to shake everyone’s hand as they left. During a conference we were having the Pastor was at the mic and he asked me to lead the group of ministers down the aisle to the vestibule to greet the guests as they left. Well as he was speaking a guest minister had already started to walk to the front door. He was already ahead of me before I got my instructions to lead. So I just jumped in behind him. The Pastor taught me a real good lesson on leadership right in front of everybody. He called me out from the mic and said Minister Scales you lead from the front and not back. So many of us are waiting on the perfect situation or opportunity to step out on what God is speaking to us. The perfect opportunity may never come. You simply have to obey what God is speaking, when HE is speaking, and take a step of faith in the direction HE is speaking. I challenge you today to lead from the front and not from the back on whatever it is that God is challenging you to do.
