God IS my friend! He is my Daddy, my Father, my BFF, my HOME BOI and whatever term of endearment I wish to use to tell HIM I love HIM, My children dont have to call me Mrs. Peltier, because respect does not require an overdose of formality when TRUE intimacy is involved! My children obey me BECAUSE they love me, because they dont want to hurt my heart, and though at times they falter as we all do, I dont uphold formal names or legalisms that would ever deem me unapproachable, as I am Mommy and no matter what my arms are always open, I learned to love in this fashion because I was first loved in it! They love me not because I list rules and formalities, but because of love and relationship, they respect me not because I LORD over them but because our Great God created us with a need for intimate relationship and even sacrificed the most precious part of Himself so that He could have that with us! Gentile and Jew alike NONE of us get all things right and in a world full of white washed tombs and sloppy agape it can be tough to keep your heart right! But if we would just follow the one command JESUS said was most important and let LOVE be our first obedience and quit putting our personal opinion in Gods mouth, EVERYTHING else would fall in line and what is crooked will be made straight! John 15:15I no longer call you servants, because a servant does not know his masters business. Instead, I have called you friends, for everything that I learned from my Father I have made known to you. John 16:25 Though I have been speaking figuratively, a time is coming when I will no longer use this kind of language but will tell you plainly about my Father. John 14:23 Jesus replied, Anyone who loves me will obey my teaching. My Father will love them, and we will come to them and make our home with them.
