God’s Radiant Presence To Isaiah’s hearers, these words meant far more than a religious experience in a religious place. It promised that the presence of God would bring hope, healing, wholeness, and happiness right where they lived! The protective covering of the Almighty God was forecast to ensure both the warm flame of His presence to bless His people and the warring power of His wrath to battle against their enemies. The prophet was foretelling the possibility of homes like yours and mine being lighted with the glow of God’s love, filled with the brightness of His blessing, and defended by the fire of His fury on any attempts of the adversary.
