God’s says, “Purpose runs deep.” The Purposes of a man’s heart are deep waters, but a man of understanding draws them out. Proverbs 20:5 Yet again Lord, you show that purpose has been placed deep within our hearts. But, without pursuing it…without seeking you to gain clarity…without someone wise to help draw it out of us…it will often go undiscovered. So again this leads me to the often quoted phrase, “The greatest tragedy in life is not death. but a life lived without purpose.” God has sovereignly – perfectly – and intentionally – created you for a purpose that only you can fulfill? God says in Ephesians 2:10 that you are His workmanship…created to do good works for which you were created. And even better, I love the way the Message version of the Bible paraphrases this verse… He creates each of us by Christ Jesus to join him in the work he does, the good work he has gotten ready for us to do, work we had better be doing. Hmmm…”work we had better be doing”??? In all of creation…in all of history…in all the places you could have been born – God chose you for here and now! It is for such a time as this that you are who you are. Finding your purpose is not just an exercise for your own entertainment or information. It is a divine calling that God is waiting anxiously for you to answer.
