Going to a funeral, learning difficult news about a child I love, and being stuck on the Turnpike in the middle of the night, all in 24 hours, kicked my A$$... then made me think deeply about life and why were here. The message seems pretty clear - slow down, be where you are, appreciate where you are, and really love the people you love. Obsessing about the future, feeling like I have to be more, do more and have more is getting in the way of enjoying the riches I have now. Its a lesson I come back to again and again. On this pursuit of a purpose-full life I have to stop and remember that my purpose isnt out there in future goals, it is right here, right now in the way I live every day. Envision the future, but celebrate the present. Life, I am back. Thanks for the kick I needed.
