Goitrogens are foods which suppress thyroid function. They include broccoli, cabbage, brussel sprouts, mustard, kale, canola oil, soy, pine nuts, millet and peanuts. In people with normal thyroid function, goitrogens can cause hypothyroidism and goiter.
