Gold RR ??? Some say Bruce ordered a Gold Rolls. Since it has the RR tag on the dash saying it was made for Bruce, then I assume it was made for him. Since it was over 30 years, I assume it was repainted. Gold...... I would have had it repainted myself. Comments on losing speed as you get older, Yes and No. Yes, the muscles lose a lot of the their elasticity and fluid movement. However, I am referring to self defense speed. With most self defense there is a great loss of application potential as the muscles sag, the joints stiffen and confidence fades. I am emphasizing the speed that by-passes attitude and always explodes full blown, regardless of physical condition. Speed and physical response are two different things. An old body can respond instantly, but falter in applying technique. This is why my focus is on the natural movement that allows the person to still physically react with a high degree of success. The biggest problem, is not often the techniques, but the diminished confidence that comes with age. This why the mental development is so important. Long after you have quit training, you still must combat your own emotions. If you learn to control them when you are young, then age is not really an enemy. A poor conditioned body may respond with the purity of youthful speed and then die from a heart attack because of the shock to his system. Look about you. There are many examples of instructors over 70 who are still extremely fast and when you meet them, you feel their positive energy and zest for life. Think young, not old
