Good Afternoon Fellow Gardeners, Last Sunday twenty - TopicsExpress

Good Afternoon Fellow Gardeners, Last Sunday twenty enthusiastic volunteers (including one family with three generations all pitching in) helped us to chop and turn compost, remove every last weed from the pansy bed, spread leaf mulch, create more beds and pathways in the expanded garden and plant them with a cover crop of winter peas and oats and harvest collards, kale, chard, mizuna, arugula, carrots, turnips, radishes, Chinese celery and a variety of herbs that were distributed along with ripened Seminole pumpkins and cured sweet potatoes to 14 third shift housekeepers early this morning. On Wednesday, Nov 20th from 3:00 – 5:00 p.m., we will be digging more beds and pathways, planting cover crops, turning compost, mulching and putting the row covers back on the low tunnels in anticipation of the cold temperatures predicted for later in the week. Please join us! CCCG
