Good Morning, It is 44 with a wind chill of 41 this morning. For me, it is a beautiful morning; for my poor hubby, it is chilly. I knew he would turn the heat on as soon as I left to go to Women of Faith and sure enough, he did. Do you have thermostat wars at your house? Maybe it should be a new reality show! Speaking of Women of Faith, I was blessed to go Friday and Saturday. It was truly amazing! I was on the edge of my seat for much of the day and night. If you were there, you will understand the next statement - if you werent, well maybe someone will share with you. I dont want to die, angry at my thighs! The one statement both churches heard from me about the conference was, If you cant lose it, decorate it! I hear that may have come from Quacker Factory or perhaps they got it from Lisa Harper! They announced that next year would be their last year of Women of Faith so tickets were selling like crazy! That was sad for me. I went to the first one and I have tickets for the last one. Can you imagine the excitement in those arenas next year? It may rival the Royals crowd last night - or maybe not! (had to get that in there!) We heard the stories of cancer actively among the speakers right now. We heard the stories of adoption, depression, anxious moments, abuse, and more, but the most predominant emotion we heard was hope. It wasnt just sort of there or on the fringes, it was in every single speakers fiber! I saw women in tears, I saw women sharing with other women the prayers of need, I saw women reconnect in friendship...I saw women given hope to move on! What is your story today? Matthew West asked us that question before sharing how he had written some songs and Nichole Nordeman said What if in response to a story. We all have one. Some of us struggle to bear the weight of our story while others easily share. Whatever your story, there is someone who is willing to listen and encourage and help shoulder it.
