Good Tuesday morning! A large storm system is bearing down on the region today, but our area is being spared from the brunt of its fury as there will be a chance for rain, sleet, and snow, but heavy snowfall isnt a concern for our local area. Central and northern Minnesota will receive upwards of 6 inches from this system while our area is expecting a little rain later today followed by sleet and then light snow later tonight. Totals tonight will mostly be in a one to three inch range with a few spots picking up four inches in the NW part of the viewing area where Winter Weather Advisories have been posted. Look for highs near 40 today with a slight SE breeze. Snow will taper off early Wednesday, with snow showers mixed with sprinkles possible into the midday hours and strong NW winds will make for a raw and blustery day. Highs will be in the mid 30s tomorrow, but itll feel much cooler thanks to 35 mph gusts through the day. Well have sunshine Thursday and then rain mixed with a few wet snowflakes Friday. Have a great Tuesday! -Ted S.
