Good evening everyone...I want to let all our Southwest Animal - TopicsExpress

Good evening everyone...I want to let all our Southwest Animal Group - SWAG supporters know that SWAG has been put in a very unusual situation. Our Ponder has been positively identified as the family dog of Alicia Fox, the woman whos body was found in a vacant house a few months ago and her 2 children 6yr old Kaylah Hunter and 8mo old Kristian Justice are still missing. The father of the 8mo old is currently in Georgia awaiting extradition back to Michigan to stand trial for Alicias murder and the disappearance of the 2 children. We rescued Ponder who was known as King by the family of Alicia Fox in SW Detroit on June 19th, after we received a tip he was sitting in the middle of the road on Westend/Vanderbilt next to a deceased female pittie that was ran over. Ponder had been very badly abused, with cigarette burns all over his face/chest area, and strangulation marks on his neck. I was contacted by the family and the Michigan State Police and sent the picture of Alicia Foxs family dog King, shown below on the left, the pic on the right is an updated pic of our Ponder, then we decided it was best to meet the family with Ponder in person. I met with the family and the MSP detective along with Ponder, last thursday, and the family positively identified him as the family dog, and told me that the man who is being held in Georgia was known to abuse this poor baby by putting cigarettes out on him and also picking him up by the neck. We had discussed back and forth the situation as to how Ponder ended up in the SW community and to my understanding the man they think is responsible for Alicia Foxs murder had ties in SW Detroit and possible sold some items that were in the house to get out of state. The family and MSP detectives believe that Ponder aka King may have been sold to someone in this area for breeding or fighting. If you live in the SW area, particularly in the delray area and have seen anyone before June 19th with a dog resembling Ponder, please call your tips in to crimestoppers @ 1-800-SPEAKUP. Southwest Animal Group will be cooperating with MSP and this family in any way we can to help find these children. Ponder will remain in the custody of Southwest Animal Group, and the family is very grateful we found him and he is now with a good family, safe and happy. When the family of Alicia Fox decides if they will have a search party in the area Ponder was found, Southwest Animal Group - SWAG will be attending, and we hope some of our supporter may also attend so we can help this family get these 2 beautiful children back and this family may finally begin to heal. Today Lisa Curry Tipler and myself did an interview with Andrea Isom from Fox 2 that will air tonight at 11pm. This has been a very different experience for all of us at Southwest Animal Group - SWAG. We truly never know when we rescue an animal what we are dealing with, what kind of past they may have had, however in this case our sweet Ponder has been through a very traumatic experience, and it is only left to us to assume what this animal has seen and been through. We knew that Ponder was badly abused by someone, but we never thought he was involved in such a horrific situation. We are taking extra great care of our sweet Ponder and we also are devastated for the family of Alicia Fox and her 2 missing children. Our thoughts and prayers go out to this family, and may they soon get peace, SWAG will cooperate anyway possible to assist in helping this family get closure and find these 2 missing children.
