Good evening fellow Virgin Islanders! This forecaster had to take - TopicsExpress

Good evening fellow Virgin Islanders! This forecaster had to take a short break to wish a happy birthday to a parental unit, so the 8pm update is a bit later than normal. TS Bertha is still chugging along about 20-21 kts in the same direction. The Hunters did another survey and havent found much change as far as further development. The Saharan Air Layer map shows a nice little curve of dry air which may effect the northern edge of the storm. There was a bit more moisture coming in, so more rain - but as always, as the storm moves forward it runs into things that change its makeup. One new graphic has been added, thanks to Google Earth! As the storm gets closer, the radar images are of rain only. The NHC still does not foresee any strengthening within the next 48 hours, which is good news. The previous forecasts for wind & rain also have not changed. As always, with heavy rainfall, be cautious of driving in trouble areas. If we hear of any curfews, road closings, power outages or the like...we will pass them along as we hear of them. ## Forecaster Caley
