Good morning, Happy Thursday! I read a good article on Forbes this morning about 20 Things That Could Be Ruining Your Promotion Opportunities All the points they make are very valid. Two of the points in particular highlight how having holes in your resume can hurt your career. They were: 16. You don’t yet have the necessary skills for the management job. 17. You lack people leadership skills (not every great individual contributor will be a good people manager) For #16, consider picking up a high-demand management certification like our Change Management or Project Management certification. For #17, consider one of our leadership certifications like Strategic Leadership or Executive Management.
