Good morning. It is day #21 of #calypsohistorymonth. Today I feature one of the most loved proponents of the art form, Lord Nelson (Robert Nelson). Nelsons sweet melodic voice is unmistakable and thrills crowds every time he performs. Enjoy!!! https://youtube/watch?v=cYkqMT6HKD0 Lord Nelson Born in Tobago in 1930, Lord Nelson (Robert Nelson) was a steel band musician and calypsonian before carving out a place for himself as an innovative force in soca. Nelson moved to the United States as a teenager. He served in the Korean War and during his tour of duty he sang calypso, ballads and other popular material for his fellow troops.
