Weather Situation A high pressure system in the Tasman Sea extends a ridge of high pressure along Queenslands east coast. A surface trough is currently over Queenslands southeast interior, and should drift eastwards off the southeast coast tomorrow. Forecast for the rest of Monday Isolated showers about the east coast and nearby inland areas, extending inland during the day over the states southeast. More widespread showers with the chance of thunderstorms over the southeast interior. Fine and mostly sunny over the west of the state. Light to moderate east to southeast winds, fresh at times about the tropical coast.
