Good morning, folks, we are set up at Liberty Bowl Memorial Stadium in Memphis to cover the 56th Liberty Bowl between Texas A&M and West Virginia. Both teams finished 7-5 this season, getting off to good starts before fading late as they had to make quarterback changes. The Aggies Kenny Hill was an early Heisman Trophy favorite after some great games in August and September, but eventually drew a suspension and was benched for freshman Kyle Allen. A&Ms defense also played poorly against SEC competition, costing coordinator Mark Snyder his job. As for the Mountaineers, Clint Trickett played well before concussions knocked out of the lineup and eventually forced him to quit football. Sophomore Skyler Howard, who played effectively in a season-ending win at Iowa State, is the starter today. The weather is cold today (39 degrees) and just breezy enough at the moment to potentially affect the game. But precipitation is not expected. Kickoff time is just after 1 on the four-letter network.
