Good morning, my dear friends!! Boy, do I have a story to tell you!! Back on July 3rd, I ordered two sets of beautiful bone bridge pins with matching end pins (with an ebony French eye and abalone dot!) for my little guitars. -Granny Stella deserved some bling after the long tour she endured). I ordered them from an outfit that immediately charged my card, then, sent nothing, as of today. I sent a couple emails to see what the hold up was, but, again, no reply. I was advised to get a bit more assertive with them, so I invoked the BBB and the Consumer Fraud Protection Committee, as well as letting them know I would contact my card issuer for an immediate refund. -Suddenly, I received an email. no apology. His explanation was that his vendor, Breezy Ridge Music, in Bethlehem, PA, didnt have them in stock and he was waiting for delivery. He also was sure to mention that he is not a fraud, and that my misplaced paranoia was unwarranted, and that he would reimburse my money., which he did (as I assured him I would contact the previously mentioned agencies by the end of business, today). So, I contacted Breezy Ridge Music, and spoke with Roger, one of their employees. I told him the sad story I just related, and he laughed. Im looking at them in the case, right now!, he chortled. He said hed heard my name (probably from the Bob and Doug McKenzie skits, years ago, though I said nothing), and asked if I was a professional musician. I replied in the affirmative and he tacked on a whopping 20% discount to my order, which, he assured me, would ship this very morning. Breezy Ridge Music is the home of John Pearse Strings. After this exchange, I am sure to do business with them again. If there is moral to this tale, it might simply be that one must stand up for oneself, and not be bullied by vendors with no scruples. My reward, however was far more than I expected, and as such, Breezy Ridge has won my business. A classic tale of how not to handle customers complaints, and how to win new customers. This just made my day.
