Good morning, this is not for the faint heart-ed people who are ALL involved in rescuing animals,(From Managers, Vollies, transport, face-book groups, home-checkers, people who network and share, sign petitions, people who foster and adopt, admins, editors, etc etc). This is for the people who want to foster/adopt or thinking about it. PLEASE PLEASE do not ask us or any rescues you are interested in helping to foster/adopt a dog. Requiring a home check than pulling out at the last minute, its waste of time and effort of all who are involved!! WE all have enough to do as it is and the majority of us work full/part- time jobs too, have children, family and a life as well. On top of that most of us foster dogs ourselves. So please please think about what you are going to do and if you are fostering/adopting, you need to be committed to these dogs as they were abandoned, rejected and abused. Dont back out just because you cant handle the smallest thing. Bouncing the dogs back to rescues means more time is spent on finding other fosters for that dog, when there are others well thousands that need pulling out of the pounds or they are PUT TO THEIR DEATHS every week. A lot of these are good healthy dogs and no fault of their own. The public have no idea the time and effort wasted and the time scale these dogs lives are on!! Its not a game where you can chop and change your mind as their lives depend on your decision making!! It is also a detriment to the dogs welfare and rescues have enough to do as it is!!! And no all rescue dogs arent FREE!!! The adoption Fees have to cover vet bills, transportation costs, vet checks, neutering and micro-chipping etc etc!! So use your brain and think hard before doing this. You need to be committed and in it for the long haul!!
