Good news! I’m pleased to report that the State Department named the terrorist groups responsible for the Benghazi attack (Ansar al-Shari’a in Benghazi, Ansar al-Shari’a in Darnah, and Ansar al-Shari’a in Tunisia) and agreed to use its Rewards for Justice program to bring them to justice. This news comes after I joined several of my colleagues last October in calling on Secretary of State John Kerry to use this program to apprehend the terrorists responsible for the Benghazi terrorist attack. Since it began in 1984, the Rewards for Justice program paid more than $125 million to more than 80 people, who provided actionable information that put terrorists behind bars or prevented acts of terrorism. The involvement of these terrorist groups in the Benghazi attack is further evidence that it wasnt a spontaneous reaction to a YouTube video, as the Obama Administration claimed, but rather was a pre-planned terrorist assault. While this is a step in the right direction, its not the end of the story. Ill continue to seek answers about Benghazi because the American people deserve to know the truth.
