Got a call on Tuesday. Hello, this is the Services for the blind. We are doing a donation gather in your neighborhood on Friday. Would you have any household items or clothing you could donate? A small alarm is going off and I frown, trying to figure out why I am not happy with this call. Besides, I just got rid of two huge sacks of clothing and some household items, but there are a few more things... Sure, I might be able to donate. Where will your truck be? Oh, well come right to your door. You still live at 6543 5th Ave NW? And the alarm shrills. How did random charity company get my phone and an address? Its not the right address, but within 10 blocks. I say, You know, thats not the right address and I dont think I want to give you the right one. Ill donate the stuff elsewhere. Hang up. Maybe they were legit, but I dont like random people I dont know calling and trying to get my address out of me.
