Got a line on a job. My ability to land it will require the most inspired bullshitting (they want a resume....*pffft* yeah, okay, but its gonna be my own strange version of one) of my life to date. I feel good about it, though. This apartment complex needs a maintenance head and the current staff of the maintenance department equals ZERO! Yep, nobody is cleaning sh*t up and the whole place is going to hell. Meanwhile, I need a paycheck and the advent of smartphones means I can have any repair manual I need in my hand within three hearty shakes of a lambs tail. The basic skills, I have. The specific stuff is just a click or two away... :-) Besides, I know communication and communication is something this complex hasnt had for several owners now. I can coordinate their online presence and have people bringing their problems straight to me instead of filtering them through the pleasant and well-intentioned ladies up front who are basically salespeople and paper-pushers and cant really help the people who need it. Seems like a plan and I already have my strategy lined out for that part. The rest of it is keeping the lights on and the toilets flushing....essentially. Also, the A/C is important ten months out of the year and the furnace part of the other two (but mostly February). None of that is really very complicated.... I suppose catching up with the backlog would be the worst of it. Anyway, wish me luck!!! Bulls**t-gear, ENGAGED!!!!!!! :-D lol
