Got an email from a lady in my community who had a stray wander up last week. She said he looked like a pit/boxer mix. Wanted to know if I would take him. I told her Im full but I would provide a crate and leash so he could be kept separate from her dogs, if she would foster him. She emailed again last night, said he seemed to be sick or something, wouldnt get up, not eating, etc. so I went over today to have a look. I saw right away that he was injured. After petting him I could feel wounds under his fur. I brought him home with me and shaved the wounds. Poor guy has had his ass kicked by some other dogs, from the looks of it. And hes not a pit/boxer mix. Hes all boxer. Incredibly sweet. he let me shave and clean his wounds without anything for pain. Hes got lots of infection but he will be ok with some antibiotics. I feel so bad for him. :(
