Got home tonight and went to the storage unit to grab some winter coats. Discovered that wed had ANOTHER break in. Sheesh. Not sure what they took this time (there wasnt a whole lot left that was worth anything), but if someone offers you a 3XL black wool topcoat (made in Bulgaria) it is probably stolen. Likewise a 2XL Italian Leather full length trench coat (black). Looks like the thief (or thieves) took an entire stack of bins plus about four bins of my seasonal clothing (mostly summer and all of it too big anyway) that I was going to pack up for the Salvation Army Thrift Store. Mainly they made a huge mess. I bought another lock -- cant get anything bigger than this one because it wouldnt fit through the holes in the latch. Not the sort of homecoming I was looking forward to. Im not going to bother calling SPD as I have no idea what all was taken or when the break-in happened this time. Not to mention the fact that property crime is pretty low on their list of things they actually investigate. That was the impression I got last spring when we had our first break in and lost several thousand dollars worth of stuff. Cant really blame them with all the budget cuts. Still, its frustrating.
